What You’ll Be Doing

As a Major Component Technician, your job will be to lead and support the replacement of major wind turbine components. These tasks are essential to keeping turbines running efficiently and safely.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing main component replacements on wind turbines.
  • Supporting and training other technicians during exchanges.
  • Handling and testing exchange tools and creating toolkits.
  • Supervising lifting operations and managing unexpected technical issues.
  • Writing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Conducting inspections like gearbox and bearing endoscopies.
  • Ensuring all reports and site documentation are completed to a high standard.

What You Need to Apply
